55% Sangiovese, 21% Cabernet Franc, 10% Cabernet Sauvignon, 7% Aglianico, 7% Petit Verdot
All grapes hand picked as each variety ripened. Destemmed, not crushed. Fermented in open top bins. Aged in large oak barrels for 24 months. Bottled without fining or filtering. A workhorse at the table. Enriched by the small percentages of Cabernet Sauvignon, Aglianico & Petit Verdot - this version of Toscano just barely qualifies for heavy summer rotation.
